Associate Endocrinologist
Dr Anna Anderson - one of our Associate Endocrinologists joined us all the way from Scotland in 2020. She is UK trained and worked in the NHS system specialising in Endocrinology and working in the busy public sector prior to her move down under.

She had a position at University Hospital Geelong as the research fellow for 2020 involved in some of the clinical trials and at the High Risk Foot Unit with Dr Roberts.
​
Anna now consults at Barwon Endocrinology regularly and undertakes some on call inpatient consulting at Epworth Geelong. She also consults at Barwon Health Public Endocrinology Clinic,
​
Anna is skilled in the management of pituitary, metabolic, thyroid and adrenal disorders. She strives to help individuals manage their complex medical issues in and around the demands of everyday life with a particular interest in the management of Type 1 Diabetes and Insulin Pump Therapy.
​
Anna obtained her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2005 before going on to complete her physician training in both General Internal Medicine and Diabetes and Endocrinology within the UK. In addition to her specialty training, Anna achieved a Doctor of Philosophy in Endocrinology at the University of Edinburgh investigating steroid regulation within the body

She has a passion for cycling and looks forward to watching the Cadel Evans Race when it next comes to town.
