We welcomed Dr Aaron Choy as an Associate Endocrinologist in 2022 having worked with us during 2021 as an Endocrinology Registrar in Training.  He also consults at Barwon Health Public Endocrinology Clinic.

 

Aaron obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2011 and commenced his internship at Barwon Health in 2012, completing his Basic Physician Training at Barwon Health, University Hospital in 2016.

In 2018, he commenced his Endocrinology Advanced Training at The Wollongong Hospital, also working at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and in 2021 completed his training as an Endocrinology and Diabetes Fellow at Barwon Health.

​

He has participated in Clinical Trials as Co-investigator for the effect of dapagliflozin (a drug to treat Type 2 diabetes mellitus) 10mg once daily on the incidence of cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction or ischaemic stroke in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

​

Aaron is interested in all aspects of endocrinology including diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, thyroid, adrenal and pituitary disease.  He keeps up to date by attending regular seminars and conferences.
